We took a trip to the Battle Hill Museum on Tues. It is very inconspicuous place on the outside....white wooded siding which needs painted, but the inside is another matter! It is chock full of stuffed animals, bones, shells, eggs, etc. etc.....a mind boggling amount! We had a great time wandering around for about an hour but could have spent hours and hours. The furnace wasn't working in one part, so it was cold in there! The museum curator is an expert on rearticulating skeletons and has done work for the Omaha Zoo. There is a full-size giraffe and elephant skeleton inside.
As you can tell from the pictures, we were cold and frightened by the reality of the animals!!
Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious lunch of greasy but tasty broasted chicken at the local restaurant:)
